Busy Bee Bags!

Hi, My name is Tiffana! 

I live with my family on a small Hobby Farm in
West Michigan. 

I love working with kids and animals :) 
And of course I love to craft with kids!!

 As a young adult I worked for five years at a child care center mainly as the lead teacher for twos and threes.  I also worked with the fours and fives from time to time.  I loved my job J  I was so happy to go to work in the morning, ready to face the day lesson plan in hand.  I had so much fun coming up with weekly themed lessons that stimulated the minds and bodies of my little busy bees.  At my center we had uninterrupted time for planning activities, many resource books, and a stock room full of supplies (although I often splurged and brought in some supplies).   It was so much fun to watch all the little faces light up and to see them learning and having fun at the same time, a perfect job.

After I had my second child I decided I should stay home and focus more of my time on my children.  Right away I missed the uninterrupted planning time I had at the day care center, I missed the well organized stock room of supplies down the hall  and I realized at home there are so many distractions and chores that call to us Mothers all day - that it can be very hard to plan activities for our kids.  We have such good intentions and then there is laundry to do, breakfast - lunch - dinner to prepare and clean up, errands to run, paperwork to do, cleaning to be done, phone calls to make etc. etc.  This is why I created The Busy Bee Bag!! 

I created the Busy Bee Bag for Mothers and others to use:

• when you want something special to do, but you didn’t have the time or energy to think of something and get it ready......after a morning of grocery list, clean out the fridge, shopping, unloading and lunch, for being such a big helper lets pick something fun to do out of the bag!
• when you’ve exhausted your ability to play pretend, tag or hide and seek one more time today.......pick from the bag, a new activity for your child and YOU!
• when you and/or your child look at your art drawer, box, shelf etc. and want to make something but what?...pick from the bag to get an idea, get started!
• when you are busy and your child wants attention now......its almost supper time and you need to be cooking, your child wants to play, pick from the bag spend 2 to 5 minutes getting your child started and then let them keep going while you cook!
• When you have the good intentions to do a creative activity with your child but then realize you don’t have all the supplies.....pick from the bag, everything is included!

These are the main reasons I created The Busy Bee Bag.  Our bag is designed to make your life a little easier.  We are here to help you be that SuperMom!!

Variety, Age Appropriateness, Creativitiy

Our bags contain a variety of activities...At some craft stores you can buy craft kits, but usually they are for older children, six and up - they contain only one type of craft - and often don’t allow for much creativity, there is a complete project picture on the box and exact instructions to follow. 

Our bags are designed specifically for kids ages 3 to 6 and you will find many different activities in each one - painting, creating with playdough, large motor games, lacing, musical fun, glueing and much more.  Our activities work to develop the whole child. 

Also many of the activities are very open ended with simple instructions and there are no finished project pictures to limit your child’s imagination - we give you a place to start, let your child take it from there!!
